From time to time, we may post positions we have open at Renaissance Centre, or for one of our other family businesses. There will be volunteer, steward, and paid positions. Whenever possible, we try to hire home-schooling families to fill positions so that we can encourage their family-centered lifestyle. Many positions can be worked largely from home, while others will require employees to be away for part of the week. In those cases, we try to make the position part-time so as not to overburden families with one member being away most of the time. Full-time positions may be available in some of those cases, so ask! Sometimes, positions can be negotiated for barter, in whole, or in part. For tax purposes, a monetary value must be assigned to the bartered product or service.

STEWARD - Fairview Farm, Charlton

We are seeking a family to steward Fairview Farm. Qualified family will be prepared to improve and maintain the house, and to help establish and maintain the subsistence farming project for Renaissance Centre two days each week April through September. Ideally, we would like one family member to be a professional carpenter/contractor/handyperson. Outside work is possible, including other paid positions with one of our companies.

A curriculum will be provided, which outlines various portions of the project to be done, as well as an overview of what we hope to accomplish with the improvements. This is a two year position. Family will live in the house rent-free for the duration of the tenure, at which time the contract may be renewed. Any revenue generated from the Subsistence Farming Project will be used to help maintain the property. Stipend in the form of barter (organic groceries, Renaissance Centre membership, and/or RC activities).

All applicants will be very carefully screened to ensure suitability. CORI checks will be required of all adults (anyone over 18) living in the home.

DRIVERS - Loaves and Fishes

We are seeking applications for drivers to deliver natural and organic groceries from our Dudley, MA warehouse to customers on various routes throughout Massachusetts and parts of RI, CT, and NH. This is a part-time position 1-2 days per week. Applicants must have a valid driver's license, impeccable driving record, and customer service experience. Must be able to lift up to 35 lb. Day rate, uniforms provided.

 

ADVERTISING SALES - Partridge Hill Media

We are seeking several experienced customer service professionals to sell advertising for our various publications (The Wedding Directory, NAVIGO Magazines, and Hearth and Home). Advertising is vital to the health of any publication, allowing us to better serve our readers. Advertisers, however must be very carefully screened and chosen. Qualified candidates will have customer service experience, knowledge of ACT software, and a professional demeanor. Ad Sales Associates may work from home part or full time. Payment in the form of sales commissions. This is a contract position, not a direct hire. As such, expenses are the reponsibility of the Associate.

 

MUSIC TEACHERS - Renaissance Centre

We are seeking qualified persons to teach the following:

Flute, harp, drum, fiddle, piano, and voice. Teachers with experience teaching Celtic and/or Acadian genres are preferable. Students range in age from pre-schoolers to adults. Group and private lessons.
