Renaissance Centre was established by Brian and Nissa Gadbois to support other families in living a family-centered lifestyle.

We are the parents of seven children; and have educated our children at home for more than 10 years. Our homeschool journey has been an interesting one. We've tried several methods, approaches, and curricula over the years. I've found that there is good stuff in just about every one of those, but none was a perfect fit for our entire family. So we take a holistic approach giving each child what he or she needs when it is needed. Real life is the basis of our education plan; and we use ideas from Charlotte Mason, Waldorf, Montessori, and Classical.

Brian works from home as a general partner in a government contracting firm, and I write part-time and run our small press publishing company. Brian is also in formation for the diaconate in the Diocese of Worcester.

We've been blessed to have been able to do some traveling, and lived in England for three years, one of those on a thoroughbred horse farm. It was a priceless experience that confirmed to us that home education was right for our family. We have hosted visitors from Kazahkstan, VietNam, and China for everything from dinner to several weeks. Through our friendship with the vocations director in Worcester, we have met many wonderful young men from Colombia who are here to attend seminary.

Life is rich and wonderful!
