Renaissance Centre was established by Brian and Nissa Gadbois to support other families in living a family-centered lifestyle. It is open to Catholic and non-Catholic families alike. We are the parents of six children. We have educated our children at home for more than 10 years, beginning in England. Over the years, we have shaped our lives so that we could be completely family-centered. Not only do we teach our children at home, but we work from home and do our best to live off of our own land, stewarding it as best we can for the generations to come. We follow a Benedictine way of life - one of prayer, work, hospitality, and play. Our home is a sacred place, it is our family cloister. All are welcome here, so long as our ways are respected by those who visit. Benedictines love to interact with people of all beliefs and seek to find commonality rather than to dwell on differences. Please don't imagine that we're pious and stuffy - we love to laugh and play hard, too! We have lived for many years in Charlton, Massachusetts, but have outgrown Fairview. We will be seeking a steward family to help us develop the herb gardens and vineyard. Our plan is to move to a larger farm that will allow us to serve our CSA shareholders, member families, and families in need.
