Future Farmers of America (FFA)

We are applying to start an FFA Chapter at Renaissance Centre. If you are interested, please click above to let us know. Priority will be given to enrolled members.

 

LEGO  

Get together for fun and competition. Bring your LEGOs for weekly activities, games and challenges. Open to ages 10-15.  

COST: $2/ wk , includes materials  

 

Model UN

The MUN club engages in an authentic simulation of the United Nations system by learning about the UN system, the skills of debate, compromise, conflict resolution and negotiation. MUN team members have fun learning about the workings of world diplomacy through the lens of current events. Ages 14-18.  

COST: $2/ wk, includes materials

 

Spelling Bee

Spelling Bee Team meets to review Scripps Howard Consolidated Word lists and practice for local Bee competitions, hopefully leading to the National Finals in Washington DC . Practices will emphasize conformity to SH standards. Ages 9-16, must not have completed grade 8.    

COST: $2/ wk, includes materials

 

Geography Bee

GeoBee Team will meet to study lessons based upon The US National Geography Standards. Team members will prepare for local competition with the aim of advancing to the annual National Geographic Bee. At least six participants are needed to form a team. Ages 9-14, must not have completed grade 8.

Catie-Did Kids

Volunteer knitters and sewers get together to make garments and toys for the UMass Memorial Hospital NICU.

FREE TO ALL - MATERIALS NOT INCLUDED

 

 

Neighborhood Frolic

Volunteers get together to work on home improvement projects at each others' homes. Bring your own tools and talents to help your neighbor make their house a home! Pot luck dinners. Open to all ages old enough to safely handle tools. This is a great community service project for teens!
